Description
A 70ft x 40ft double truss dome, also known as a 21m x 12m double truss dome, is a large covered structure that utilizes a double truss system to provide a spacious enclosed area. These domes are commonly used for events, exhibitions, sports facilities, or industrial purposes.
Here are some key features and considerations of a 70ft x 40ft double truss dome (21m x 12m):
1. Size: The dome has dimensions of 70 feet in width and 40 feet in length (21 meters x 12 meters), providing a significant covered area for a wide range of applications.
2. Double truss system: The double truss design adds structural stability and strength to the dome, allowing for a larger covered span without the need for internal support columns. The double truss configuration enhances the load-bearing capacity of the dome and ensures a more open interior space.
3. Construction materials: Double truss domes are typically constructed using steel or aluminum trusses and a fabric or PVC cover. The trusses are connected to form the skeletal framework of the dome, and the cover is attached to provide weather protection.
4. Installation: Installing a double truss dome requires expertise and proper equipment due to its size and complexity. The installation process involves assembling and securing the truss framework, installing the cover, and ensuring proper tensioning and anchoring for stability.
5. Versatility: Double truss domes are versatile and can be used for various purposes. They are often utilized as event venues, exhibition spaces, sports facilities, or large-scale temporary structures. The open interior design allows for flexible layouts and accommodates a wide range of activities.
6. Weather resistance: The fabric or PVC cover used in double truss domes provides protection from the elements, including rain, snow, wind, and UV rays. The materials used are typically weather-resistant and can withstand different weather conditions.
7. Customization options: Double truss domes can offer customization options based on the specific requirements of the project. This can include additional features like windows, doors, insulation, HVAC systems, lighting, or soundproofing to enhance the functionality and comfort of the space.
When considering a 70ft x 40ft double truss dome (21m x 12m), it is recommended to consult with suppliers or manufacturers specializing in large-scale dome structures. They can provide information on available models, features, installation processes, and pricing based on your specific requirements and intended use of the dome.
